Barry Weinberg, MD

Barry J Weinberg, MD, is a pulmonologist (lung specialist) with over 20 years of clinical experience. At his New York City practice on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Dr. Weinberg provides high-quality diagnosis and treatment with an emphasis on personalizing each patient’s care.

Dr. Weinberg earned his medical degree from the SUNY (State University of New York) Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at New York City’s Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital. From 1998 to 2004, Dr. Weinberg was the Associate Chief of the Critical Care Division at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.

Dr. Weinberg specializes in pulmonary medicine conditions such as asthma, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), interstitial lung disease, and, more recently, COVID-19. He maintains active affiliations with numerous New York City hospitals, including Lenox Hill Hospital on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and Mount Sinai Medical Center. These affiliations allow him to follow his patients when they require hospitalization.
