Covid-19
For thousands of Americans, a coronavirus diagnosis was only the beginning. We are now seeing that people who have recovered from the initial illness have been experiencing long-term effects including shortness of breath, chest pain and discomfort.
Dr. Weinberg utilizes state of the art diagnostic equipment to determine the cause of persistent respiratory complaints and provide the appropriate therapy.

What is a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)?
A pulmonary function test (PFT) is a diagnostic test used to evaluate lung function. It provides important information about your lungs, including the lung volume and capacity, as well as the rates of airflow and gas exchange.

A PFT can help your doctor diagnose many lung disorders or evaluate the severity of an existing lung condition. Pulmonary function testing is frequently used to assess disease progression and to monitor clinical response to treatment. In addition, the test may be used to assess how well your lungs are functioning before undergoing surgery.

If you have shortness of breath, wheezing, cough, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, interstitial lung disease or pulmonary fibrosis, Dr. Weinberg may recommend that you undergo a pulmonary function test in order to accurately diagnose your condition.
